Conference & Registration FAQ

Q: Can I join MLA and register for the member rate?

A: Absolutely! Just sign up for the appropriate membership level on your online or printed form and we will sign you up for both a membership and the conference at membership rates.

Q: If I join now, when will my membership expire?

A: Last year we voted to change the membership rules, your membership will now be valid for 1 year from the time you join.

Q: I am up against the registration deadline, and don't know if my membership has expired. What do I do?

A: First check the back of your MLA Newsletter, your expiration date is on the mailing label.

If that is not an option, send your registration, and we will invoice you the difference if your membership has expired. Better yet, renew your membership and we will add 1 year to your existing membership if it has not expired!

Q: Is the bus going to run from Springfield and Worcester?

A: We are sorry to say we could not secure a sponsor for the bus and have had to cancel it this year.
You can check the program for some other transportation to the cape.

Q: Do I have to stay at the SeaCrest?

A: No you do not, there are several bed and breakfast's in the area offering discounts.

Q: I registered for the ILS Pre-Conference... does that include Wednesday?

A: The ILS Pre-conference includes one session on Wednesday morning. If you want to attend other sessions on Wednesday you need to register for that day at conference as well.

Q: I want to register on line for the pre-conference and one other day, how do I do that?

A: Unfortunately the web form we have this year does not handle that situation gracefully. Please register for the pre-conference and the regular conference in separate transactions, or sign up for the 4 day special and see it all!

Q: I am sending a group of people and one gets a free registration, what does that entail?

A: Every 4th registration fee for a group is free when three others are paying.
Please remember:

• That 4th person should have "free with group" on their form.
• The waived fee is(are) the lowest fee(s) for the group.
• The forms need to come together.
• Only the registration fee is waived.
• It is scalable: Send 4 get 1 free, send 8 get 2 free, send 12 get 3 free, etc
