Is Guerrilla Storytime your favorite part of Annual Conference? Do you feel like you get the most help from MASSYAC threads? Join Youth Services Section for this special Unconference event. Childrens and Young Adult Librarians from across the state are invited to shape and facilitate this unstructured day of professional development. With your help we will crowdsource discussion topics, and create an agenda on the spot - three topics per session, three sessions for the day, nine possible areas to learn and share your experiences.

Our host library has tech capabilities in all rooms, so if you would like to share photos, videos, or documents, please make your content available on an external drive or through cloud-based storage.

For MLA members $15.00; For non-members $20.00

Lunch will be provided, but participants are more than welcome to bring lunch from home instead.

The Confronting Inequality Symposium will include a Civic Engagement Fair with the opportunity to connect with change makers invested in creating positive change and promoting the quality of civic life in our communities. Exhibitors include the Harvard Democratic Knowledge Project, the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, and the US Citizenship and Immigration Services. You will have the opportunity to talk with colleagues from the Chelmsford Public Library, the Newton Free Library, the Wilmington Memorial Library, and the Wellfleet Public Library about their innovative library/civic engagement projects.
