The goal of this MLA annual program is to establish written contact between library supporters and elected officials We are most interested in reaching library supporters who might not participate in other MLA legislative efforts, e.g., Library Legislative Day, email, and/or the MLA CapWiz Site. Public libraries in the Commonwealth are supported by over 2,500 trustees and 61,000 friends of libraries. We encourage libraries to facilitate this statewide event with programs and other promotion to trustees, friends, and users.
