Committee Charge:

The Education Committee:

• Awards Massachusetts scholarships to candidates of the New England Library Leadership Symposium to be held 7/25/2005 - 7/29/2005  at the Canonicus Camp and Conference Center in Exeter, RI.

• Works with the conference committee to award conference scholarships.

• Investigates the IMLS Leadership Grants for library school scholarships; to recommend the role MLA might take in securing one; potential partners in development of a grant; and the resources needed to submit one.

• Monitors and evaluates education initiatives including MLA’s Drexel E-Learning partnership.
