MLA PARALIBRARIAN SECTION 3rd ANNUAL AWARDS

on Monday, May 8, 2006 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Outstanding Paralibrarian of the Year

Are you in awe of the good work one or more of your colleagues performs for your library or the library community? Do you know someone who consistently provides service above and beyond the call of duty? A problem solver with a can-do attitude? Maybe that person is you! You may nominate as many people as you like. NOMINATE SOMEONE TODAY – it’s a great way to say “Thank you for all you’ve done!”

This non-MLS library staffer goes above and beyond the limits of a job title, meeting high standards of service and excellence and showing pride in library work. This person exemplifies the ideal that true professionalism isn’t limited to professional librarians.
This person knows the value of paralibrarians in our libraries, and has worked to increase visibility and opportunities for non-MLS staff. This person may or may not be a paralibrarian – s/he could be a director, a supervisor, a colleague – anyone who has demonstrated outstanding support for library paralibrarians.

Selection of award winning nominees will be made by the Executive Board of the MLA Paralibrarian Section.
A confirming reference check will be conducted on all finalists. Winners need not be members of MLA; however,
