Interlibrary Loan Survey: Share Your Experience

4/17/2026

Do you work in library resource sharing (interlibrary loan and/or document delivery) in the U.S.? If so, we invite you to take part in a short survey!
Our goal is to better understand the needs, challenges, and experiences of practitioners in small ILL operations. This survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete online, is completely voluntary, and your responses will remain anonymous. Your input will help us explore ways to build connections and foster community among small resource sharing teams.
At the end of the survey, there is an optional form where you may choose to provide your contact information (separate from your survey responses) if you would like to stay in touch and receive future updates about this project.
If you are interested in sharing your experiences and helping shape this work, you can access the survey here:

Thank you for your participation!

Connected Communities: 2026 NELA Elections – Call for Nominations

4/11/2026

Dear MLA Members,
As we move into another exciting year for the New England Library Association, we are pleased to open the Call for Nominations for the 2026 NELA Elections, centered on this year’s annual conference theme: Connected Communities.
Libraries continue to serve as vital anchors across New England—bridging people, ideas, and opportunity. Strong leadership ensures that we remain responsive, innovative, and deeply connected to the communities we serve. With that in mind, we are seeking dedicated and passionate members to step forward and help guide the future of NELA.
We are currently accepting nominations for the following elected positions:
  • President-Elect (3 year term, Vice President, President, Past President)
  • Member-at-Large (2 year term)
  • Secretary (2 year term)
Each of these roles plays an essential part in advancing NELA’s mission, strengthening professional networks, and supporting library workers across the region. Serving in elected leadership is an opportunity to shape strategy, foster collaboration, and champion the evolving role of libraries in civic life.
If you—or someone you know—feels called to contribute their leadership, vision, and energy to NELA, we warmly encourage nominations. Self-nominations are also welcome and encouraged.

Please email Jennifer Gehly at [email protected] for a link to the nominations form. The nomination deadline is Friday, April 17th, 2026.

Thank you for your continued commitment to strengthening our professional community and ensuring that libraries across New England remain vibrant, inclusive, and connected.
With appreciation,
Jennifer Gehly
Past President
